Second Over-Arching Stakeholder Workshop

Both researchers and stakeholders from the Horizon Europe funded Marine SABRES   and MARBEFES projects came together this week in Zandvoort, the Netherlands, for a joint, 2-day engagement workshop!

The workshop was conducted with a view to sharing an overview of results gathered from the second round of our stakeholder consultations, while facilitating feedback through round table discussions and paper-surveys during the day' proceedings.

Throughout the event our speakers explored issues including:

🛳️ Valuation of Coastal Systems

🐬 Challenges effecting Marine Protected Areas

🤝 Management and Policy Interventions

🕹️ Decision Support Tools

✨ Ocean Literacy

On day two of our joint event participants were even introduced to the concept, design, and functionalities of the MARBEFES Toolbox (but more on this shortly)!

Thank you to everyone who participated in this event in particular our 16 overarching stakeholders who engaged with us throughout and shared their important ideas, opinions, and impressions of the work to date!
